Casey Key is one of the most sought-after destinations in the lower United States. But, sshhh.... It has been a little secret up until recently which slowed the hyper-building of commercial properties and kept a quaint feel to the resort island.
Casey Key is located at Nokomis, Florida, about half hour drive north to Sarasota and neighboring Venice. About 45 minutes south of SRQ.
More photos will be added very soon.

Copper Harbor, Michigan is the northern most town of the state of Michigan. With beautiful and vast freshwater great lake of Lake Superior Michigan, the water/shore scenery is astounding. We traveled from Florida, starting on US-41 north and most the rest of the way was on I-75 Interstate Highway.
We had just left Copper Harbor, Michigan and were heading south on 41. Pulled over in a rural intersection and launched the Mavic Air 2. The Michigan fall colors were the reason we reserved a room at Copper Harbor to see the northern most tip of Michigan at it's finest, Lake Superior. Now, as we look south down 41, we see endless colors and treetops with a minute stretch of beautifully laid highway through Northern Michigan Upper Peninsula.
Copper Harbor, Michigan is a place of natural surroundings that invite the high-level life-loving individuals seeking fun in sun, water and snow. You will not find the arrogant, pushy nor selfish type in this area.
Michigan is, in the rural areas, a place of common minded folks who love the earth and all we are provided in our given surroundings.
We enjoyed a fantastic pizza dinner at a local restaurant The Mariner North Restaurant, oh my goodness, I fogot my 20 year old leather jacket on the chair when I left!! When I got home, I called the place and they had found it. In fact, the fella managing the floor of the establishment at the time, Corey, ran out to try to catch me as we left. Ohfe! I missed out, didn't hear him and drove off. It wasn't until I got to Marquette that I realized I'd left my ol' jacket behind. A phone call to the establishment and communicating with Shawna was all it took. They kept my item safe and expected the call and assumed the owner was going to reach out for their item and sure enough, when I did, they were ready to ship it directly to me!!! I provided payment method and received my jacket some days later, completely unharmed and in beautiful shape. I am thankful for the people at Copper Harbor.
On this trip Winter to Copper Harbor, we left from Lake George Michigan where the winter snow cover was minimal, when we left. Upon arriving to Copper Harbor, the snow was still not very treacherous, nor deep. It was a great experience to see what the Great White Northernmost of Michigan would provide.
We lifted the Mavic Air 2 from the drive into Lake Fanny over the woods and on to the Copper Harbor Light House to see it covered with crisp, fresh, white snow. We were at the location when the sun was setting, was evening time. This photo shows above the brave structure, overlooking the Copper Harbor bay, Copper Harbor and the quickly setting sun. If it looks chilly, it is.
